Channel [V] Code of Conduct

With these C.O.C. guidelines, we aim to make the [V] messageboards a vibrant, fun and engaging place to hang out for all of the [V] community, and hope you will to. Please keep the C.O.C. in mind at all times (we don't want the C.O.C. going in one ear and out the other). These are its ten commandents, as it were, so please respect and abide by them.

In addition to these guidelines, please check out the site's complete legal lowdown for the terms and conditions.
  1. We want the Boards to be a place of expression and an exchange of ideas, thoughts and opinions for members. Posts by members which are purely inflammatory or just one-dimensional attacks on another member or the channel will be deleted, or edited. So posting "Your opinion sucks" is not cool; posting "Your opinion sucks because " is much better.
  2. Posts deemed offensive, sexist, racist, obscene, hateful, slanderous, libellous, defamatory, unlawful, harassing or containing content the publication of which violates the rights of any third party (phew!) will not be tolerated and will be deleted (or edited). This includes links to inappropriate sites. Repeat offenders will be expelled from the website altogether.
  3. Every member should undertake to help [V] admin in their role of moderating the boards and should 'report a post' if they find it breaks the C.O.C. If you're not sure, report it anyway and let us decide. It's like Neighbourhood Watch in cyberspace. Please be vigilant.
  4. Be relevant. Private banter between members is for private messages or your own email, and not the Boards. Posts such as these may be deleted or edited by admin, as will inane or pointless posts, ones posted in a non-relevant board or genre, or posts designed to boost a member's total post count.
  5. Making a post ALL IN CAPS or 'LiKe tHIs' is not cool and stupid, and will be deleted or edited by admin.
  6. Posts which are thinly veiled ads, non-relevant plugs, spam or posted on multiple boards may be deleted or edited by admin.
  7. Guard your privacy, and respect others. Never post your personal details. Likewise, never post someone else's. These will be removed immediately.
  8. Please check the boards before you post to see if your question or topic is already there, and add to that rather than starting a new thread.
  9. The opinions expressed within the Message Boards are not necessarily those of Channel [V], or XYZnetworks Pty Ltd.
  10. Remember these are just everyday guidelines for use, and all members should familiarise themselves with the [V] website's complete terms and conditions for all the legal shit.
